Earth Day Qigong 2024

Earth Day Qigong 2024

Monday Evening, April 22 from 6:30-7:30pm

Join us outside at Red Butte Garden for Earth Day Qigong

We will ground and connect with Mother Earth through the soles of our feet and expand our awareness within our bodies. All while enjoying the beautiful surroundings of the garden.

Qigong, pronounced (chee kung), is a slow-moving meditation with conscious breath work and learning to become aware of our Qi (our essence, our life force). We will use simple movements with breath to connect our mind and bodies together for present-moment awareness because there is no stress in the present moment. It comes from wasting time in the past and/or worrying about the future. Come and BE (breathe and expand) in each present moment as it arises for Earth Day 2024.

What do I need to bring?
Comfortable clothes, and bring layers. We do not know what our Utah weather will bring us. It’s better to have more layers than you need and take them off as your body temperature warms. Bring yourself a water bottle, and when we practice, shoes will be optional. For me, feeling the grass below my feet is nourishing itself. Although I did put my shoes back on last year, as we had some soft snowflakes come down,.
