My Life Is … T’ai Chi

Jan 22, 2015

As I am writing this post to you, the saying, “be careful what you wish for…” resides in my mind. I have had a lot of T’ai Chi moments (in other words, lots of change), since my last blog entry on ChiMoments.com.

I confirmed this past Tuesday, that a large design client that I have had for many years, (which is the bulk of my design business) may be coming to an end by early summer, (or sooner) giving me that great opportunity to experience “the awareness of seeing darkness.”

Now, I know there are two ways to look at this, I could go to the complete dark-side and allow fear to rule me, (getting all logical) wondering how I will pay bills, help support my family, etc. OR, I could:

“Recognize the light of awareness, that sees the quality of darkness.”
~Sifu Master Gardner

Ponder that for a moment, and read the quote again… I can hear my teacher’s words, “We must recognize that our own awareness has a knowingness luminosity quality.”

Now, what does that exactly mean? To me, “seeing the darkness” (in this example, losing a big client) is giving me the opportunity to change, lean-in, and reccaliberate. Asking myself that important question, “What it is I really desire in my life now, and how do I want to feel?” Yes, shedding a light of awareness to my situation, that is my plan…

And, lets be honest, I have been desiring to teach more and design less. (Again, be careful what you wish for…) Now, the Universe is giving me this opportunity to just do it!

So, that’s exactly what I am going to do, I am going to delve deeper into listening, staying open with my heart, and trusting. Teaching Desire Map Workshops, (in-person and virtual), and allowing my Core Desired Feelings (CDFs) to guide me through each moment. Which also includes, sharing my passion of T’ai Chi & Qigong with as many people as I can. Allowing them to experience for themselves techniques to calm the mind, to align, energize and center the body, bringing about a direct experience of inner harmony — which allows you to be grounded and present in the moment.

I am also going to DREAM BIG, while keeping my heart open, as my teacher reminded me last night.

Go to the workshop tab above to get more details on my Spring Qigong Workshop coming in March, and my Desire Map Workshop coming up in April. Most of all, please share with others who may want to join you in these experiential processes. For it is a true blessing to be surrounded by “like-minded” souls … I know this to be true … because you are here.

Thank you for all your love & support,
