Earth Day Qigong 2026
Wednesday, April 22 · 6:30–7:30pm
Join us outdoors at Red Butte Garden to celebrate Earth Day and deepen your connection to both yourself and the living earth beneath your feet.
Through the gentle, flowing practice of Qigong, we’ll slow down, ground our energy, and expand our awareness—breathing with the rhythm of nature and the quiet beauty of the garden all around us. Together we’ll cultivate presence, gratitude, and a deeper sense of belonging to the natural world.
Let this hour be a moment to reconnect: with the earth, with your breath, and with the simple joy of being alive on this planet.
What is Qigong?
Qigong (pronounced chee-gong) is a slow, meditative practice that combines mindful breathing with gentle, flowing movements to cultivate awareness of our Qi—our life force energy.
As we move and breathe with intention, the mind settles and the body softens. Stress begins to dissolve as we return to the present moment, reconnecting with the natural energy that flows through both our bodies and the world around us.
On this special Earth Day, we’ll practice in harmony with the land beneath us—breathing deeply, moving slowly, and allowing ourselves to simply BE.
What to Bring
• Comfortable clothing and layers (Utah weather can be unpredictable!)
• A water bottle to stay hydrated
• Shoes are optional—many enjoy practicing barefoot to feel the earth beneath them
